Fork and Spoon Case Closed

the meal that eats like a meal

the meal that eats like a meal

Remember when 7-year old Luc Cagadoc got humiliated by his teacher for eating with a fork and a spoon, being called “disgusting” and “piggish”?  The incident made national and international news sparking protests as far as Manila.  There’s even a Wikipedia page.

This went as far as the Quebec Human Rights Commission but the case was just thrown out, with the QHRC citing lack of evidence.  The Filipino community in Montreal isn’t too happy

Do you eat with a fork and a spoon?  Is this issue big enough to be a Human Rights violation?

Other than protest by eating with our hands and microwaving our isda and kanin at the office until the commission re-opens the case…

What can we do?
