The Journey Stops in Toronto Tonight

read em’ and weep:

two tickets to paradise

two tickets to paradise

My Journey to pick up the new album at Wal-Mart today culimates in my Journey… to see Journey.

The band, along with our favourite Filipino frontman Arnel Pineda comes to the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto as part of their summer tour. I’m a pre-Pineda Journey fan from back in the day, so I would have gone anyway, but what I’m really curious to see is if there will be more Filipinos there now that Arnel is the frontman.

Did a whole bunch of new fans jump on the band-jeepney? Will there be Filipino flag-waving in the audience? Will the 80s cock-rockers hate us? Will there be home-brought Capri Sun, bags of chicharon and tupperwares full of last nights cold rice and coagulated adobo?

Stay tuned — I’ll be snapping photos with one hand and holding my lighter up in the other.
